Kona Country Club Hole 3 Drone Footage
Hole 1 – Par 4 – 321 Yards White Tee
Dog leg left with OB on the right and trees blocking your second shot on the left. Driver is not needed on this down slope tee shot as the ball will roll down hill to a good spot for your approach.
Hole 2 – Par 5 – 481 Yards White Tee
Straight forward par five heading to the ocean front green. Ocean breeze may require more club.
Hole 3 – Par 3 – 168 Yards White Tee
Signature hole with the largest water hazard in the world on the right. Plays longer than it looks.
Hole 4 – Par 4 – 388 Yards White Tee
This long Par 4 is the #1 handicap and will need a good tee shot to give you a chance to reach in two.
Hole 5 – Par 3 – 156 Yards White Tee
Add one club length due to the ocean breeze that you may not feel at the tee box but it is there.
Hole 6 – Par 5 – 478 Yards
Narrow par 5. Second shot placement is critical. Trouble on both sides. Stay below the hole on the green as putting down hill may require a chip to get back on the green.
Hole 7 – Par 4 – 339 Yards White Tee
Short Par 4. Make sure the fairway is clear before teeing off.
Hole 8 – Par 4 – 372 Yards White Tee
Dog leg right. Watch out for the Condos and OB on the right if you’re trying to cut the corner.
Hole 9 – Par 4 – 374 Yards White Tee
Plays long due to being up hill on every shot. Big green so three putts are common. Driving range is on the right so check your ball before hitting. This is a good time to reload on golf balls at the pro shop of get something to eat at the View Restaurant.
Hole 10 – Par 4 – 340 Yards White Tee
Short tee shots will be into the valley which slopes to the left. Second shot is blind uphill so check for the golfers on the green and scope the pin placement.
Hole 11 – Par 5 – 496 Yards White Tee
Straight forward Par 5. You can see all the trouble. Big slice will head toward 16th tee box.
Hole 12 – Par 3 – 162 Yards White Tee
Signature ocean front hole. Plays longer than it looks. Don’t forget to take a picture!
Hole 13 – Par 4 – 367 Yards White Tee
Long par 4 with the “Blow Hole” which will send up a spray of ocean water on days with high surf. Can you reach the green in two?
Hole 14 – Par 4 – 375 Yards White Tee
Wide fairway so bang it. Heading back toward the ocean. Check out the “Corkscrew” coconut tree at the tee box.
Hole 15 – Par 4 – 342 Yards White Tee
I don’t know why but I really hate this hole. Probably because I am afraid of duck hooking into the condos on the left so I push it way right into the trees. Is anyone reading this? Let me know, ha ha. jim, Short Par 4. Get off the tee box safe and go for the hole. Shrubs behind the green are a free drop if you go in.
Hole 16 – Par 4 – 305 Yards White Tee
Short dog leg right. Watch out for the condos on the right if you are cutting the corner. Tee shots from the back tees are intimidating. Try it if you dare.
Hole 17 – Par 3 – 122 Yards White Tee
Fun short hole that plays longer than it looks.
Hole 18 – Par 5 – 440 Yards White Tee
Finishing hole that plays long due to the uphill slope. Don’t let the windows of the condos on the left scare you. Plenty of room on the right off the tee. Nasty green will ruin your round if you end up above the hole. I warned you.
